Changing my diet

Well, it’s Day number 4 and I’ working on changing my diet. Not really so much of how I eat, but when I eat. What I mean is, awhile ago I got into this really bad habit of not really eating during the day and then eating lunch between 2 & 5 and then eating dinner between 7 & 8:30.

So today, I ate some crackers on my way to work and some pretzel nuggets when I finished work, I cut out my lunch today, but still ate dinner after 7. Hopefully if my idea is correct, I will be hungry tomorrow when I wake up or shortly afterwards.

My plan is to eat something small in the morning, so that way I will be hungry again around lunchtime. If my thought process is correct, I should be up to at least 5 small meals a day, by the end of the week.

From the research that I’ve done, eating after 7 o’clock at night is bad. The reason they say that it’s bad to eat after 7, is because most people aren’t very active after 7. If you’re not active, your food just sits in your stomach and doesn’t burn off.

The reason that I’m working on changing the amount of times that I eat, is from what I’ve learned your body will burn smaller meals off rather quick and won’t store food for later. Meaning from what I have studied, if you eat like I do, basically all at once, my body goes into survival mode and stores fat because it’s never sure when it will get more food.

Please understand that I’m not a dietitian. I’m a broke 42 year out of shape male, that wants to get in shape. So, what I do is I read some stuff on the internet and I watch videos on YouTube. So, I advise you to do some of your own research and maybe talk to a dietitian. (If you see this message, I haven’t read through and edited this post. I’m trying to get into the habit of posting and I will do the proof reading later.)
