3 Days

It has been 3 days since I drank soda or sweet tea. You don’t know this, but sweet tea is my weakness. The last time that I gave up drinking soda, I didn’t give up sweet tea and was told that sweet tea is just as bad as soda. I’m not sure how much truth is in that, but since I haven’t started working out yet, I figure “What could it hurt?”

Also, since I gave up drinking soda, I’ve tried to replace at least one meal, with something healthy or at least healthier than the fast food that I usually eat.

Like I mentioned in the last post, I’m currently staying at a motel, so it’s a little difficult for me. In the motel room, I have a small fridge, microwave, a hotplate, and one small pan. I’m not making excuses, I’m just trying to take things slow. I’ve got to keep things interesting for myself or I’ll lose interest and I will give up again.

The reason I say again, is because I tried this before, well actually a few times. But the time that I’m talking about, is the heaviest that I have ever been, I was 273 lbs. At that time, I had joined a gym and was working out. This time I don’t have the extra money to join the gym, nor do I really want to join a gym. But when I was working out, I went from 273 lbs. to 255 lbs. If I’m not mistaking, I only went to the gym for maybe 6 weeks. Everything was going well, until I ate a slice of pizza and then I was like, “That was yummy!” Long story short, I started eating unhealthy again, that’s why I’m trying to give up things slowly this time.
